On Aug. 25, a Howard Street resident reported that sometime during the night, paintballs were shot at her residence. Estimated damage: $100. There are no suspects.
On Aug. 24, a Roxbury Road resident reported that between 6-9 p.m. the night before, someone attempted to force their way into an apartment with a crow bar. There are no suspects.
Lawn ornaments damaged
On Aug. 24, a Kimball Avenue resident reported an estimated $50 damage to lawn ornaments. A short while later, Officer Dan Carrier found the culprits, charging a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male with criminal mischief and underage drinking.
On Aug. 25, a Roxbury Road resident reported that a day earlier, a laptop was taken from his unlocked vehicle parked on Highland Terrace. The laptop is valued at $1,500. There are no suspects.
Pair arrested after burglary
Lt. Roy Hodsdon said Officer Josh Aylward arrested Rumford residents Cassie Burgess, 25, and her boyfriend, Aaron Justard, 21, on Aug. 25, charging them with Class B burglary and Class C theft.
This is in connection with a burglary that took place on Summit Street in Mexico on July 28. Taken from the residence were cash, jewelry and other various items totalling about $3,000.
Hodsdon said some of the jewelry was recovered from a local pawn shop. Burgess and Justard are scheduled for arraignment in Oxford County Superior Court in November.
On Sept. 5 at 12:40 p.m. a Main Street resident reported windows to their property had been broken. Estimated damage was $50.
On Sept. 4 at 11:02 a.m. Big Apple in Mexico reported a $90 gas drive-off.
