On Oct. 3, a Maple Street resident reported theft of an angel ornament from her flower garden. Value $10.
On Oct. 3, a Falmouth Street resident reported an attempted burglary. Resident went to his garage and observed a male inside the garage. The male then fled the scene as resident was calling police.
On Oct. 2, Sheila Carruthers, 62, of Rumford was arrested by Officer Daniel P. Carrier, Jr. Sheila was released on $600 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on November 5.
On Oct. 2, Matthew Gerrish, 30, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Route 108 for OUI (2nd offense) and operating after suspension. Court date is Dec. 3 in Rumford District Court.
On Oct. 1, Shareese Morant, 40, of Rumford, was arrested on Oxford Avenue for an outstanding acquiring drugs by deception warrant. Morant was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.
On Sept. 30, Hillary Taylor, 22, of Bryant Pond was arrested on warrant for assault. Bail was set at $600 unsecured. Taylor posted bail and was released.
On Sept. 30, subject reported a weedwacker taken from a locked shed on Lincoln Avenue; lock taken. Total value $700.
On Sept. 23, a 50-year-old Mexico man reported being assaulted on Lincoln Avenue. Under investigation by Sgt. Higley.
On Sept. 23, a Linnell Street resident reported a burglary and theft of money at her residence. Sgt. Bernard investigating.
On Sept. 23, report of a fire at Hosmer Field Skate Park. Rumford Fire Department responded. Someone had burned a large plastic trash can in the Skate Park. Garbage can and asphalt were damaged due to fire.
On Sept. 23, report of attempted burglary at parish for holy savior church on Franklin Street. Under investigation by Sgt. Higley.
On Sept. 23, Shareese Morant, 40, Rumford arrested for acquiring drugs by deception. Transported to Oxford County Jail.
On Sept. 22, Roland Young, 38, Rumford arrested for violation of protective order. $800 unsecured bail. Court date in Nov. 5 in Rumford District Court.
On Sept. 19, a Congress Street resident reporting theft of cash from her apartment. Ptl. Dan Carrier investigating.
