State Police Troop B report
Trooper Jamo is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on the Soper Road in Durham, near the intersection of Pinkham Brook Road (Rt. 125).
Evidence at the scene suggests that the 53-year-old operator was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi Gallant at a high rate of speed when he came over a rise and lost control. The operator crossed into the opposite lane and into a small field where he rolled over multiple times. Tr. Jamo suspects that the male suffered blunt force trauma to the head during the multiple roll over’s, as the male was secured in a seatbelt. The operator’s license was revoked, conditional Q and and he did not have permission to be using the Mitsubishi Gallant. Tr. Jamo also suspects the operator may have been intoxicated.
Trooper Cote is investigating the burglary of four storage units at the Route 202 Self Storage Facility on Route 202 in Greene. A suspect has been developed.
Tpr. Fillebrown executed a search warrant in Bridgton as part of his investigation of a burglary that occurred in Stow last year. He recovered numerous items of stolen property. He conducted follow up interviews and located additional stolen property in a pawn shop in Lewiston.
Tpr. Fillebrown located several items of stolen property in Bartlett, NH from a burglary covered by Tpr. Tirado in Denmark. Interviews conducted in this investigation have also generated information regarding illegal drug activity.
Through an informant, Tpr. Fillebrown recovered a handgun that was stolen in a burglary in Fryeburg.
Trooper Cote investigated an early morning domestic dispute at 583 Route 106 in Leeds between a mother and her 15-year-old female daughter. No charges were filed, but Trooper Cote took the juvenile to St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston for a mental health evaluation.
Trooper Maguire investigated a criminal mischief report in New Gloucester where a resident had his ATV seat sliced by someone using a knife. The fuel filler cap and the ignition were also tampered with.
Trooper Cote stopped a vehicle on Pride Avenue in Auburn after it almost struck his cruiser on Court Street. The female operator from Virginia was found to have a suspended license and was under the influence. She was put through a battery of field sobriety tests and arrested. She was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail where she was administered an intoxilyzer test. The results were 0.13 grams BrAC. She was charged for Operating under the Influence and Operating without a License.
Trooper Cote charged a Leeds man with operating after suspension and possession of a suspended license after a motorist reported that he had been operating erratically on Route 202 in Greene. The complainant followed the man to his residence in Leeds where Trooper Cote showed up and investigated.
Trooper Pappas had numerous OAS stops during the last two weeks.
Trooper Maguire was called to a domestic/criminal trespass report in New Gloucester. A New Gloucester man was summoned for operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to produce proof of insurance.
Trooper Maguire investigated a personal injury crash where a pickup ran over an adult female’s foot after she walked into the side of the pickup in New Gloucester. No charges filed.
Trooper Cote arrested a Wales man for criminal trespass and violation of conditions of release after he illegally entered into his brother’s residence on Bull Run Road in Wales without permission while he had been away. The brother came home and confronted him. He subsequently found missing items from inside. After an interview, the man denied stealing from the home. The investigation is continuing and further charges may be forthcoming. The man was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail.
