Brandon Gotto, charged with domestic assault, Jan. 2 by Mexico Police Officer Dan Carrier. Gotto has a Feb. 8 court date.
Vehicle broken into
MEXICO -- On Jan. 12, a Rumford woman reported that her vehicle was broken into the previous night while parked at Tommy Guns.
Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said a total of $580 items were taken, include a GPS, Sirius receiver, CDs, jacket and clothing. The woman reported that her vehicle was locked at the time of the break-in.
Hodsdon said he does have suspects in this case.
Snowboard, boots taken
MEXICO -- On Jan. 11, a Dixfield resident reported that the night before, while his vehicle was parked overnight at Advance Auto, a snowboard and boots were taken from the rear of his pickup.
The value of the items is $1,200. Officer Kyle Matthews is investigating.
There are no suspects at this time.
Forced entry into trailer
MEXICO -- On Jan. 8, a Katy Lane woman reported that while she gone, someone forcibly entered her locked trailer.
Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said it was reported that the person took 75 gallons of kerosene for an outside tank and also did criminal mischief to the furnace.
The incident took place between Jan. 6-8.
The fuel was valued at $225. It was not known what kind of damage was made to the furnace.
Money taken from wallet
MEXICO -- On Jan. 5, a Harlow Hill woman reported that someome took $210 from a wallet in her residence.
Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said the money was taken between 11 p.m. and midnight on Dec. 30 when the woman was not home. The home was unlocked at the time. He said there is a suspect in the case.
Cell phone taken
MEXICO -- On Jan. 3, an osgood Avenue resident reported that someone stole a cell phone, valued at $50, from his home.
There is a known suspect from living outside the area that police are trying to track down. Officer Kyle Matthews is investigating.
