  • Looking for Paul Bunyans

On Friday, Envision Rumford! and others worked to get the May 4 zip line project started. Because the two 600-foot-long zip lines from near the Rite Aid street-side parking area to the town snow dump involves crossing the Androscoggin River, they first need to get a line over the river. Here, Gary Warren attempts to shoot an arrow with a fish line onto the rocks by the river. This step would eventually lead to a half-inch thick cable that will carry riders over the river.
