Donald (Don) L. Smith
Jan 11, 2013 12:00 amWHITING, NJ -- Donald (Don) L. Smith, 79, died on Dec. 21, 2012 at his winter home in Whiting, NJ.
Born in Jamestown, NY, he lived in Andover for 24 years until becoming disabled and staying fulltime in New Jersey. He owned property in Andover since the late 1950s.
Don was employed with U.S. Steel, where he started in the Fairless Works and served as local union president. He retired from the U.S.S. sales department after 25 years of service.
Funeral services held for Alfred S. “Tonka” Wing
Jan 11, 2013 12:00 amDIXFIELD -- Graveside services for Alfred S. “Tonka” Wing of Canton were conducted on December 8, 2012 at the Greenwood Cemetery, with Arthur G. Meader officiating.
Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
Funeral services held for Madeline E. “Maddy” Lauzier
Jan 11, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A Memorial Service honoring the life of Madeline E. “Maddy” Lauzier was held on November 28 at SG Thibault Funeral Home.
Her nephew Deacon Robert Curtis Jr. officiated. Personal reflections were shared by Normand Lauzier, Jr., Martha Judkins, Patsy Leavitt and Randy Judkins.
Interment will be in Farrington Morton Cemetery at a later date.

Jan 11, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Cecile Hebert was celebrated on October 26, 2012 at Parish of the Holy Savior.
Fr. Robert Vaillancourt was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Music selections were Here I Am Lord, J’irai la voir un jour, Ave Maria, and Let There Be Peace On Earth. The Old Testament was proclaimed by Jim Carey. The New Testament was proclaimed by John Patrick. Offertory Gifts were presented by Claudette Carey and Claire Patrick.
