Funeral services held for Joan G. Martin
Apr 05, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan G. Martin of Peru and formerly of Rumford, was celebrated on February 16, 2013 at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church, with Fr. Robert Vaillancourt as celebrant.
Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included Wind Beneath My Wings, Ave Maria, Amazing Grace, Be Not Afraid, and Hosea. The readings from the old and new testament were proclaimed by Barbara Doherty.
The Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Barbara Doherty.
Carolyn A. Gill
Apr 05, 2013 12:00 amCANTON -- Carolyn A. Gill, of Dixfield, 88, passed away peacefully at the Victorian Villa in Canton on March 30, 2013.
She was born in Dixfield on June 14, 1924 and graduated from Dixfield High School in 1942. Carolyn played on the 1942 ladies softball team that traveled to Ohio for nationals.

Apr 05, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Connie MacDougall was celebrated on March 7, 2013 at Parish of the Holy Savior.
Fr. Robert Vaillancourt was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. The Old and New Testaments were proclaimed by Arita Zitoli. The Prayer of the Faithful was offered by Arita Zitoli. Personal reflections were shared by Sharon Madore.
Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were You Raise Me Up, You Are Mine, Ave Maria, and Fly Like a Bird.
Pallbearers were Dennis Frey, Mark Frost and Jeff Dayon.
Funeral services held for George F. Moore IV
Apr 05, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- Funeral services for George F. Moore IV of Mexico were conducted on February 19, 2013 at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Daniel Pearson officiating.
Music selection was In The Garden. Words of Remembrance were given by several family and friends.
A reception followed at the home of his brother, Barry, and Amy Moore of Rumford.
Funeral services held for Hector J. Dayon
Apr 05, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- Funeral services for Hector J. Dayon were conducted on Feb. 11, 2013 at Holy Savior Parish with Pastor Robert Vaillancourt officiating.
Organist Mark Belander sang Ave Maria, Hosea and Fly Like a Bird. Hosts and wine were brought to the altar by Keith Dayon and Shawn Murphy.
Readings were done by Jeff Dayon, Ryan Dayon and Angie Arsenault. Eulogy was written and read by son, Jeff Dayon.
Full military honors were conducted.
A reception was held in the church hall after the service, served by Daughts of Isabella and catered by Ralph's Store.
Funeral services held for Robert J. “Bob” Gallant
Apr 05, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Robert J. “Bob” Gallant was celebrated on February 1, 2013 at Parish of the Holy Savior.
Fr. Raymond Picard was the celebrant. Jeremy Myles was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Prior to the mass, granddaughter Riley Gray played Amazing Grace on the violin.

Apr 05, 2013 12:00 amRUMFORD -- Funeral services for Jean Rennie Olsen, of Mexico, were conducted on January 10, 2013 at the Virgin Memorial Chapel of the Rumford United Methodist Church, with Pastor Carol Stevens officiating.
Organist was Judy Kuhn. Music selections were Amazing Grace and The Old Rugged Cross. Special music In the Garden was sung by the Church Bells. Words of Remembrance were given by granddaughters, Sheri Bloor and Erica Hodge, great-granddaughter, Celina Adley, close friend Dee Holman, and granddaughter, Kathy Olsen.
