Funeral services held for Irene F. Thibodeau
Sep 02, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Irene F. Thibodeau was celebrated on June 25, 2011 at Parish of the Holy Savior.
Fr. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. Bernie Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Music selections were Be Not Afraid, Because the Lord is My Shepherd, Ave Maria, and Fly Like A Bird. Readings were done by her niece, Denise Smithberger. Gift bearers were Carmen and Ray Beaulieu.
Interment was in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall.

Fr. James Martel was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Prior to the mass, Danny Boy was sung, during the mass music selections were I am the Bread of Life, Because the Lord is My Shepherd, Ave Maria, and Fly Like A Bird.

Sep 02, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial for George A. Garon of Rumford was celebrated on July 8, 2011 at the Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church, with Fr. Phil Tracy as celebrant.
Altar Assistant was George Gionet. Organist was Mark Belanger.
Music selections included: “Here I Am Lord”, “On Eagle’s Wings”, “Prayer to St. Francis” , and “Fly Like a Bird.”
Readings were given by grandchildren Scott Marcellino and Dawna Guiel. Eulogy was given by his brother-in-law Ted Desveaux.

Fr. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Music selections included Amazing Grace, Hosea, Ave Maria, and Fly Like A Bird. The first reading was proclaimed by her granddaughter, Kristen Provencher. The second reading was proclaimed by her grandson, Brian Koehler.
Funeral services held for Thomas J. Bulger
Sep 02, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -- A service honoring the life of Thomas J. Bulger was held on July 8, 2011 at SG Thibault Funeral Home.
Rev. John Gensel officiated. Fr. Moots Carignan SSJ offered the committal prayers.
Readings were done by his brothers Stephen and David. Personal reflections were shared by his sister Martha.
Interment was in Demeritt Cemetery in Peru.
Rodney Dean Parlin
Aug 26, 2011 12:00 amPORTLAND -- Rodney Dean Parlin, 59, of Chesterville, died unexpectedly of natural causes on August 15, 2011 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, surrounded by family.
He was born Nov. 30, 1951 in Farmington, a son of Ashley and Elizabeth (Nile) Parlin.
Rodney's passion was his family. Nothing was more important to him than being a husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and brother-in-law.
Burton S. deFrees
Aug 26, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -- Burton S. deFrees, 85, English teacher and theater director from Rumford Center, son of the late Burton and Edwina (Lawson) deFrees Sr., died on Aug. 15, 2011.
He is survived by his three grown children Evelyn, Elizabeth and Ethan and their families.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Sept. 17 at Rumford Falls Auditorium, 145 Congress St. (Municipal Building, second floor; handicapped access on River Street side).

Lance Many Crows
Aug 26, 2011 12:00 amWEST FARMINGTON -– Lance Many Crows was a Native American of Chiricahua Apache descent; private and proud.
He was born in Florida and was influenced greatly by his maternal grandmother while living with her in New Mexico.
Lance traveled extensively throughout the world, educating himself on many of the worlds religions and cultures.
Ruth Kidder Warga
Aug 26, 2011 12:00 amTRENTON, NJ -- Ruth Warga, 83, died on May 19, 2011 in Trenton, NJ after a short illness. She was a resident of Hamilton, NJ.
Born in Mexico on October 23, 1927, she was the daughter of Ethel and Elwood Kidder. She attended school in Mexico, graduating from Mexico High School in 1945.
After high school, she was in a bookkeeping/secretarial training program at the Togus Veterans Center, before moving to Washington, D.C. to work at the Pentagon.
Wallace A. Cutting, Jr.
Aug 26, 2011 12:00 amSCARBOROUGH -– Wallace A. Cutting, Jr., 85, of Gray and formerly of Andover and Portsmouth, NH, died on August 16, 2011 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
He was born in Andover on June 1, 1926, the son of Wallace and Marian (Jones) Cutting Sr. He had attended schools in Andover and Portsmouth, NH.
Wallace served his country as a Sgt with the U.S. Army Air Force from 1946 to 1949.
He had a private pilot’s license and loved to fly small aircraft. He enjoyed working on mechanical equipment and fabricating special equipment.
