Jul 15, 2011 12:00 amALTON, NH -- Constance M. Stevenson, 83, of Alton, New Hampshire went peacefully into the arms of her Lord Jesus on June 24, 2011 at her home surrounded by family and friends.
She had been declining in health for a long period of time.
Connie was born on May 8, 1928 in Rumford, the daughter of Elizabeth (Allen) Tyler of East Concord, NH. She spent most of her childhood with her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Violet Allen of Mexico.
Ida R. Lacroix
Jul 15, 2011 12:00 amAUBURN -- Ida R. Lacroix, 87, of Hancock Street, Rumford died on July 5, 2011 at the Hospice House in Auburn following a brief illness, with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Rumford on April 7, 1924 a daughter of Joseph and Demarise (Leclerc) Martin.
Ida was educated in Rumford schools and lived locally all of her life.
She was employed for many years with Diamond Match in Dixfield and later at Fecteau’s Store in Rumford. Ida was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She loved family gatherings.
Pauline M. Allen
Jul 15, 2011 12:00 amLEWISTON -– Pauline M. Allen, 78, of Granite Street in Mexico, died on July 9, 2011 at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness, with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Rumford on December 2, 1932 a daughter of Vincent and Margaret O. (Arsenault) Gallant. Pauline was educated in Rumford Schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School Class of 1951.
She was employed for many years with Freddie’s Restaurant and the Mexico Chicken Coop as a bartender, retiring in 1994.
Thomas James Bulger
Jul 15, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -- Thomas James Bulger of Rumford, passed away July 2, 2011, on the 64th anniversary of his birth.
The son of George A. and Marguerite E. (Coombs) Bulger, he was born on July 2, 1947 at Brunswick. Except for a brief period when he lived in Toledo, OH, he was a resident of Rumford all of his life.
Tom was a machinist by trade. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was a member of Elks Lodge #862, American Legion Post #24, and Eagles Aerie #1248 as well as the Dixfield Sportsmen’s Club, where he served as a safe hunting instructor.
George A. Garon
Jul 15, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -– George A. Garon, 86, of Penobscot Street, Rumford, died on July 4, 2011 at the Rumford Hospital.
He was born in Gorham, NY on October 30, 1924, the son of Alonso and Blanche (Pinard) Garon. He had attended Rumford schools.
George served as a PFC, U.S. Army, Company D, 289th Infantry Regiment during World War II overseas in Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
Ada M. Mouckerezi
Jul 08, 2011 12:00 amREGION -- Ada M. Mouckerezi, 94, died on June 28, 2011 at Maine Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on February 7, 1917 in East Millinocket, the daughter of Alfred and Nellie (Champion) Mann.
Ada lived in Millinocket until 1965 at which time she moved with her family to International Falls, MN and remained there until moving to Rumford in 1976.
Corless E. Kemeraitis
Jul 08, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -– Corless E. Kemeraitis, 84, of Rumford, died on June 22, 2011 at the Rumford Hospital.
She was born in Weld on November 6, 1926, a daughter of Leo and Thelma (Hutchinson) Houghton. She had attended Carthage Schools.
In her younger years, she worked at the local mills and also at Madison’s and Trail’s End. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God.
She was married in Berlin, NH on February 6, 1961 to the late Peter Kemeraitis, Jr., who died in Rumford on January 19, 1990.
Trent Logan Thompson

He was born in Ocala, FL on June 15, 2005 to Robert Thompson and Katherine Bass.
Trent was loved by all who knew him and will be remembered for his sweet smile, his love of NASCAR, football and fishing.
Ruperta Nancy Nichols

She was born in Rumford on July 20, 1930, a daughter of Rupert B. Kerr and Gertrude Irene Roberts. She graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford Class of 1949.
Ruperta had worked at J.J. Newberry Company in Rumford as a clerk and later as a substitute custodian for the schools in Rumford and Mexico area.
Anita Marie Parise
Jul 08, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD -- Anita Marie Parise, 87, formerly of 321 Pine St., died on June 30, 2011 at the Rumford Community Home following a long illness.
She was born in Mexico in 1924, daughter of Alphonse Ferland and Marie Anne (Blier) Ferland. Anita attended St. John School and graduated from Stephens High School Class of 1942.
She was a lifelong communicant at St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne and the Children of Mary and performed a number of volunteer activities for the parish.
