Sep 09, 2011 12:00 amIrene sure did some damage! I guess it could have been worse. Sep 02, 2011 12:00 amI’m sitting in the writing room -- no, not that room and the blowing wind feels uneasy even though the tingling of the wind chimes sound comforting, there’s a heaviness in the air.

CLOSING IN
Sep 02, 2011 12:00 amCLOSING IN -- A man walks on the newly repaired Hosmer Field track Monday morning as the rising waters from the Swift River closed in. Fortunately, the water level did not cover the football field, leaving no doubt that this Friday's Mountain Valley football opener with Westbrook will be played. Thank you Rumford Hospital for my care
Sep 02, 2011 12:00 amTo the Editor:
I was recently in the Rumford Hospital. The care I received could not have been any better.
I like to thank Dr. Ledesema, Dr. Deluca, and the nursing and nurses aides staff.
My experience from entering to going home was excellent. I could not have been treated any better.
Thank you to all who said prayers for my recovery.
