Cougar girls' tennis team wins pair

DIXFIELD -- The Dirigo girls' tennis team is now 4-1 follow match wins over Jay and Madison.

On May 3 in Dixfield, Dirigo won 3-2 over Jay.

In singles:

Marlee Dubord (J) defeated Betsy Noyes, 10-3; Mariah Boute (J) defeated Meredith Brown, 10-6; and Addy Fuller (D) defeated Lindsey Allen, 10-7.

In doubles:

Cassidy Bigos and Ryanne Dailey (D) defeated Karisa Macomber and Emily Taylor, 10-3; and Grace Hebert and Coral Howe (D) defeated Kendra Peart and Mikaela Boute, 10-2

In exhibition play, Emily Ray and Summer McCollough (D) defeated Chelsey Bouley and Brooke Steele, 8-0.

A day earlier in Madison, Dirigo defeated the Bulldogs, 5-0.

In singles:

Betsy Noyes (D) defeated Jessica Theberge, 10-6; Meredith Brown (D) defeated Lindsey Kandiko, 11-9; Addy Fuller (D) defeated Logan Bruneau, 10-2.

In doubles:

Ryanne Dailey and Cassidy Bigos (D) defeated Raeanne Curtis and Taylor Longstaff, 10-6; and Kirsten Uhde and Grace Hebert (D) by forfeit.
