Eagles Friday Night Pool
RUMFORD -- There was a feel in the air that this was going to be a strange night during Eagles Friday Night Pool.
Big Dan “The Automotive Man” was playing tunes on his karaoke machine. The pool players were warming up by doing the Ali shuffle.
There definitely was something in the air and it started out by the magic man Dave “The prestidigitator” Magoon put Dale “The Banker” Buck into bankruptcy by beating him two games to one. The “Magic Man” was feeling good but his magic ran out when Steve “The Ketchup Man” Hines devoured him like he devours freedom fries.
The “Ketchup Man” was oozing with confidence but he forgot that “The Cat” Don Catenaro was lurking and the “The Cat” licked him up light a saucer of milk.
Don “The Cat” Catenaro had only one obstacle left to keep him from the championship and that was Jim “Rack Runner” Rinaldo.
The Rack Runner didn’t run any racks but “The Cat” had used up his nine lives as the” Rack Runner” chased “The Cat” up a tree and won the first pool tournament of March.
Another pool night will happen Friday at the Eagles Club so come on down and try to win that elusive championship. Tammy “The Optometrist” Milledge will keep an eye out for you and will sign you up. Play begins at 7 p.m. Come early; do the Ali shuffle and warm up for some excitement.
