Falcons summer hoop camp

RUMFORD -- The Falcons summer hoop camp will run from June 18 to June 29 at Mountain Valley High School for students in grades 2-8.

The camp is open to any area youngsters that have the desire to learn more about the great game of basketball, regardless of previous experience. The goal of camp is to fulfill the individual expectation of the participants, whether it is playing in the championship game at the Cumberland County Civic Center or engaging in healthy exercise and friendly competition.

The camp will be broken up into grade levels and different aspects of the game will be taught at the different levels. Grades 2-3 will attend from 8-9 a.m., Grades 4-5 will attend from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and grades 6-8 will attend from 10:30 to noon.

The idea behind the camp is to give campers a better understanding of the game. We hope that every camper can look back on their experience and say that they are a better basketball player now than when they started.

A special feature at camp is Dr. Dish, a basketball training tool that helps athletes reach their maximum potential through maximum repetition. Campers will have access to the most modern technology on the market today. Campers will get a chance to train like the Pro's with this new addition.

“Defense equals Championships, hard work equals results.” At Mountain Valley, we do both!

Registrations will be taken up to and on the first day of the camp. Pre-registration forms will be sent home with all students within RSU #10. If you plan on signing up on the day of the camp, show up 30 minutes early. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Rick White at 357-1313.
