DIXFIELD -- An important notice for ATVers -- in Dixfield, where the ATV trail crosses Rt. 142, by the Mt. View
Campground field, do not cross Rt 142.
Instead, go along side of Rt 142 and up the Averill Hill Road to reconnect with the ATV trail. Use caution at all times as this is a heavily traveled road.
If this access route is misused, it will shut done until the reroute is complete and then you will have to use the Lake Mt. trail.
