Thrashers remain unbeaten

RUMFORD -- The GRCC Thrashers continue their winning streak with a win recently, improving their record to 5-0.

Scoring goals were Jacob Blanchard, Alex Gorham, Jacob Lord and TJ Payne. Outstanding defense was displayed by Noah Breton, Nolan Downs, Cody Hemingway and Jarrod Downs, who made it tough for their opponents to score. Playing goalie this week were Payne and Lucas Drapeau. Payne had his opponents shut out in the first two periods of play while Drapeau had some very nice stops in the third.

One of the coaches Player of Week is the very talented Noah Breton for his incredible offense and defense on the court. Breton has scored seven goals so far this season and has had a number of great assists. He is an outstanding athlete who always gives a hundred percent.

The next player of the week is the first time floor hockey player, Keyleigh Dupuis. Dupuis has improved tremendously in the first three weeks of the season and continues to improve with each and every game.

She is a very tough defensive player who also has had a number of assists offensively. She brings a smile to each game as she truly enjoys the game of hockey. Both players of the week have shown outstanding sportsmanship and great attitudes while on the court or off the court. Great job Thrashers!
