Winter baseball league forming

RUMFORD -- The GRCC is now taking signups for a winter baseball league to be held at Bates College.
The league will be played on Sundays from Jan. 6 through Feb. 10. They are looking to put together three teams -- one for ages 9-10, one for 11-12 year olds and one for Babe Ruth age.
The 11-12 year team will be coached by last year's 11-12 all-star team coaches, Dan Garbarini and Ryan Palmer. Scott Gauvin will help with the Babe Ruth level players.
This is on a first come, first serve basis, so the GRCC must register at Bates as soon as possible. For more information, call 369-9906.
