A GREAT CAUSE

A GREAT CAUSE -- At the Fire and Police Games held on Jan. 13 at the Androscoggin Colisee Bank, the Sanford Police Department took on the Lewiston PD and brought home the 2013 Championship trophy with a score 5 to 4 in a close and exciting game. Following the fundraising event, a ceremonial check for $2,000 was presented to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Seen here is the Sanford PD hockey team, Lewiston Fire Chief Paul LeClair, 2013 Potentate Everett Kaherl; Brenda Espinoza, executive director; and David Saphire, Shriner and committee member of IFPMWG (International Fire, Police & Military Winter Games). A great time was had by all.
